It's Big Give time! Double your donation this week

Our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign for 2025 is live!

At midday on Tuesday 2nd December, we launched our annual match-funding campaign in partnership with The Big Give. The Big Give runs the UK's biggest match-funding campaign, their annual Christmas Challenge, which has raised millions of pounds for thousands of charity projects since it first launched in 2008. For seven days, it offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to have their donation doubled. We are delighted to have been chosen for match funding this year by our generous pledger and The Childhood Trust.

So why choose us to receive your donation? We are a small, local literacy charity working solely in Wandsworth. We are embedded in our local community, aiming to provide continuity of support for children from 0 to 11 years and to serve the whole family. We love to empower parents to support their children's learning at home. We look to target the greatest need and are committed to quality delivery and measuring impact.

With 70 volunteers reading in nine partner schools across Wandsworth and a team of seven part-time staff, we supported over 200 children aged 5-8 with their reading in schools last year, and supported hundreds more children and their families from 0-11 years old with parental talks, workshops, events and messaging. We delivered 108 early years classes for children aged 0-4 in schools, nurseries, children’s centres, community centres, libraries and with partner charities. We also ran 21 talks and workshops across the borough attended by 282 families.

Every £1 donated as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge, up to our biggest ever target of £10,000, will be matched - for one week only, starting at midday on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. You could help us raise £20,000!
