Our first volunteer coffee morning of the new academic year
Twenty-four volunteers - old and new - met for coffee and biscuits, as well as a dyslexia training session
We held our first volunteer coffee morning of the year in Southfields on 22nd October. It was so lovely to see our volunteers again - old and new - after the summer break.
As well as a lovely cup of coffee from the St Michael's Church café and biscuits, 24 volunteers also got to hear dyslexia specialist and L2L2R volunteer, Louise Whitehead, talk about how to work with children who have, or may have, dyslexia. I'm sure everyone who attended agreed it was a really useful and insightful session.
