Our Founder, Teresa Harris, was honoured to attend the Together at Christmas carol service in Westminster Abbey on Friday 8th December. The event celebrated individuals and organisations that work with the youngest members of our society. It was spearheaded by The Princess of Wales and supported by The Royal Foundation. Learn to Love to Read was invited to attend by The Wimbledon Foundation, one of our most valued and long standing funders, in recognition of our early years work, which gives parents the confidence and skills to support their child’s early literacy at home through singing, chatting, playing and reading stories together.

The service was attended by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales, who were joined by HRH Prince George, HRH Princess Charlotte, HRH Prince Louis and other Members of the Royal Family. There were musical performances by Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert, Jacob Collier, James Bay, and Freya Ridings and the Soul Sanctuary Choir. Readings were given by HRH The Prince of Wales, and by actors Michael Ward, Jim Broadbent and Leonie Elliot. The service will be broadcast in the UK as part of a special programme at 7:45pm on ITV and ITVX on Christmas Eve.
