It was wonderful to welcome so many familiar and new faces, including Deputy Mayor of Wandsworth Rosemary Birchall, to our annual summer party on 19th June. This year we had a change of venue due to the generosity of Ross and his team at Hurlingham Yacht Club, who very kindly donated their time and use of their lovely clubhouse, right on the river in Putney. Once again we were supremely lucky with the weather, and guests were able to make full use of the balcony looking over the Thames.
As well as an enormous thank you to our volunteers, donors and supporters, this year's party was also a farewell to our founder and trustee, Teresa Harris, who is moving away at the end of this month. Read her goodbye speech.
We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the evening as much as we did. If you'd like to visit or revisit Hurlingham Yacht Club (43A Deodar Road, under Fulham Railway Bridge, London SW15 2NP), non-members can stop by for drinks every Friday evening from 5pm. And if you want to stay up-to-date with their news, you can sign up for their newsletter at the bottom of their home page.
