A perfect autumn morning on 9th October for the Royal Parks Half Marathon - the sun shone brightly and not a cloud in the sky. Our nine wonderful runners all completed the race, raising over £7,500 for Learn to Love to Read. It's an amazing amount and we are incredibly grateful for all their hard work and perseverance through their months of training. A special mention for Selina who single-handedly raised £3,300. If you'd still like to donate, it's not too late - every pound will support our mission to make every child a reader. You can donate here through Just Giving.

Here's what one of our runners, Davide, had to say about his experience:

"I'd like to thank L2L2R for inviting me to run the Royal Parks 2022 half marathon. It was an exciting journey training in the summer for the run and raising the funds.

I'm grateful for all the support I've received from friends and colleagues to support such a great charity. Royal Parks Half 2022 has been a great event in one of the most iconic London locations, well done to the organisers.

I'll definitely run Royal Parks Half again - highly recommended!"

Christel - who ran with her friend Marion - says:

"I learnt a lot from this race about others, the organisers, the runners' community, the charity we ran for, and my limits.

It showed how big things are possible together! So huge thanks to you our friends, family, sponsors and community. I am so grateful it happened!"

L2L2R staff member Samreen was there to capture the day in pictures:
