This is a brand-new programme where parents receive a daily text message with a link to a 1-minute video from the Learn to Love to Read YouTube channel. Each video introduces one simple sound, encouraging parents to practise phonics daily with their child during the summer holidays in a fun and easy way.

This programme is aimed at children in the early stages of their phonics learning (ages 2-7 years). The bite-size clips will help children hear and identify individual sounds; remind them of the letters that represent them; and introduce vocabulary containing those sounds. This could be an introduction to phonics for pre-schoolers, or useful consolidation of what older children have been learning at school.

The free text-service will begin immediately after the end of term, on Monday 26th July. We are encouraging parents to sign up here on our website. Any questions please contact [email protected].

Please note only a limited number of places are available on this programme. You only need to book one place per phone number, regardless of how many children will access the video clips.

By signing up for this programme you give us permission to store and use your details for this purpose. If at any point you wish to withdraw from the programme you will be able to do.
